Air Italy has announced a new long-haul destination from Milan Malpensa: Toronto (YYZ), Canada.

The route will be added to Air Italy’s long-haul network, which currently includes New York, Miami, Bangkok, Delhi, Mumbai and, starting 2019, Los Angeles and San Francisco (these start in the 3rd and 11th of April, respectively).

Flights to Toronto will operate four times per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays starting May 6th, 2019. The route features Air Italy’s Airbus A330-200s, which have 252 seats in 2 classes. There are 24 seats in Business Class and 228 seats in Economy Class.

“Toronto is an extremely welcome addition to the Air Italy route map and clearly reflects the importance of the North American market to us. There is enormous potential in extending our reach to Canada, thanks to its economic relevance and strong global relations,” said Rosen Dimitrov, Air Italy Chief Operating Officer.  “This cosmopolitan and multicultural destination is one of the most important centers for trade and investments as well as an important cultural centre.

“Our new route demonstrates our determination to continue our expansion with many exciting new destinations to attract visitors to Italy and to enable them to connect onwards, as well as providing our Italian customers with an ever-expanding array of exciting new destinations to visit, all while being treated to our superb hospitality and great on board Air Italy experience,” he concluded.

Toronto will be the fifth North American destination after New York, Miami, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
