American Airlines has announced nonstop service from Manchester-Boston Regional Airport to Chicago O’ Hare International starting June 6th, 2019.

Two flights will be offered daily. They depart Manchester at 7:20am and 3:56 pm and return from Chicago at 12:01pm and 6:46pm, respectively, Ticket sales will began on Monday. These flights are mainly to replace United Airline’ flight between Manchester and Chicago, which ended in September.

“This is an exciting opportunity for both business and leisure travelers to connect to one of American’s key hubs,” said Manchester Airport Director Ted Kitchens. “The American brand will enhance our connectivity to the local Chicago market and will improve access to some of our top markets, which are located in the West and Southwest. We are both excited and appreciative of American’s commitment to the Greater Manchester market and look forward to working with American and the local community to ensure its success.”

“This exciting announcement comes at a time when Manchester businesses are expanding and our local economy is thriving,” said Joyce Craig, Manchester’s Mayor. “American’s Chicago announcement is a win-win for residents and businesses throughout New England seeking access to Chicago and points west. I applaud Manchester-Boston Regional Airport’s initiative to reach out to the community to identify needs and promote opportunities available at Manchester. As residents and businesses book travel, I urge them to choose to fly out of Manchester.”
