Alaska Airlines unveiled an Airbus A320 in its own livery today, marking an important milestone in its merger with Virgin America and a step towards integrating Virgin America’s brand with Alaska’s own.
N625VA is the first A320 to be painted in the Alaska Airlines livery. Alaska Airlines went through a rebrand in 2016, changing their former white and blue livery to a more colorful combination of blue, green and grey.
The A320 is the first of 67 Airbus A320 family aircraft in Alaska Airlines’ fleet to be painted into the new livery. Alaska Airlines acquired all of its Airbus A320 family aircraft from the merger with Virgin America.
In the upcoming months, Alaska Airlines will also be refurbishing the A320 fleet with new cabins to match its Boeing 737 onboard product.
