ANA, which is Japan’s largest airline, will start flights between Tokyo and Perth in September 2019. It will be the first Japanese carrier to fly from Japan to Perth regularly.

This route will be operated by a Boeing 787-800. The aircraft has 184 seats, including 32 Business Class seats and 152 Economy Class seats. 

Japan is an attractive place Australians, and it will become even more popular in coming months since the Rugby World Cup will be in Japan in 2019, making ANA’s new service especially popular among tourists. The flight will also appeal to business travelers, as economic relations between Japan and Australia are stronger than ever. ANA expects business travel will be on the rise in years to come.

“We are excited to add Perth to our list of world-class destinations, and are happy to be collaborating with Tourism Western Australia, Perth Airport and Tourism Australia,” said Seiichi Takahashi, Senior Vice President of ANA. “The city is celebrated worldwide as a tourist destination and economic hub, and we look forward to making it easier to travel between Tokyo and Perth.”

ANA is also preparing to extend its service to Vienna, Austria in February 2019. The airline, which has been rated with five stars for six consecutive years, is looking to improve its service for all passengers worldwide.
