Oman Air is launching its third daily flight on its Muscat to Mumbai route.

The new flight was first flown on August 1, 2017. It departs Muscat at 10:40pm (local time) and arrives in Mumbai at 3:00am (local time). The return flight leaves Mumbai at 4:05am and arrives in Muscat at 5:15am.

“We are extremely happy to announce this new service between Muscat and Mumbai,” said Abdulrahman Al-Busaidy, Deputy CEO and CCO of Oman Air. “The addition of this flight is part of our wider commitment to the Indian market.”

The flight is expected to be popular, especially since business travelers can leave Muscat in the evening and arrive in Mumbai the next morning. The route is also good for leisure passengers, who will have a wider selection of connecting flights to new destinations with the early arrivals in Mumbai and Muscat.

“Increased frequencies offer yet more choice and convenience to our guests, who will now be able to leave Muscat in the evening and in arrive in Mumbai the following morning. We are sure this new service will prove just as popular as our other Indian routes,” said Al-Busaidy.

Oman Air already has two daily flights between Muscat and Mumbai. One flight leaves Muscat at 1:20am (local time) and arrives in Mumbai at 5:40am (local time). It then leaves Mumbai at 6:55am and arrives back in Muscat at 8:10am. The other flight leaves Muscat at 9:00am and arrives in Mumbai at 1:20pm. The return flight leaves Mumbai at 4:15pm and arrives in Muscat at 5:30pm.

Oman Air is growing its overall capacity to India, with increased capacity on five of eleven Indian destinations. Bombay, Delhi, Hyderabad, Calicut, and Lucknow have all seen increased frequencies in the past year. Since increased capacity to Mumbai, the overall number of Oman Air flights to India has increased from 154 to 161.
