The cuts represent a 71.1% reduction in one-way departures at Harry Reid International Airport (LAS), from 4,957 to 1,434, based on Cirium scheduling data reported by Simple Flying on March 15.
The move aligns with Spirit’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy restructuring, its second filing this year, as the carrier focuses on core hubs including Fort Lauderdale (FLL), Orlando (MCO), Detroit (DTW) and Newark (EWR). No official announcement from Spirit Airlines has been issued regarding the LAS-specific changes.

The 14 surviving routes emphasize West Coast destinations and select others, with approximate Q2 2026 flight counts per Simple Flying:

Spirit aims to shrink its fleet to 76-80 aircraft by Q3 2026, down from a peak of 230, prioritizing older Airbus A320 and A321 models while targeting debt reduction from $7.4 billion to about $2 billion upon bankruptcy exit, according to Aviation A2Z on March 16.
